Great work! DO you know how many miles these buses run in 20 days ? Or 1000Kg of Hydrogen can fuel how many buses for MTD
Where is the December 21st meeting, 2021? Its listed as unavailable, hidden at the end of the loop.
They should make something like this for iflycu (Willard Airport) there can be pilots or flight attendents or employees dancing instead of everyone in this video
Im coming to drive for you all simply because the operators WAVE AT EACH OTHER :) You dont see that on the OTR Motorcoches much at all. :)
Really? My city we all wave at each other. (after dark we tap our left signal) We're on the same team. We have a few routes interlined with nearby city and their drivers wave too. Plus the intercity drivers wave (although sometimes less frequently).
Just wondering how do Hydrogen buses are in cold weather/winter months??? Rochester NY has 20 Electric buses and in the Late fall/Winter/Early Spring months, they get Limited uses due to Faster battery drainage. and i am a bus driver so just asking for other fellow bus drivers who are new to the ideal of hydroggen buses
Hydrogen would be essentially the same as CNG from an operator perspective.
Hydrogen is essentially the same as CNG in terms of cold weather performance.
?
Hydrogen fool cells 😂
Amazing! Great video and thank you for sharing. As far as being able to operate your buses for 20 days off of the full hydrogen vessels, how many buses would you be able to support for those 20 days of operation?
Great presentation, and interesting safety measures for handling hydrogen. GET has had issues with their filling station recently. Curious about the cost, and why not run the solar straight into a battery electric bus (or day storage battery) and skip all the gas release mitigation - but you still need a different fire suppression system to cope with a battery fire, typically a dunk tank. I assume these are fuel cell busses? Curious what the kWh per mile from the inverter is, how efficient are your electrolysers etc. etc. what are your capex, opex costs vs. LFP battery storage into an LFP bus - any promising battery swap or catenary charging systems you have also looked at? Every time I try and run the numbers, hydrogen as electrical energy storage for transportation doesn't seem to make sense - it never 'pencils out' - so I wonder what the exact stats you are getting are, have you solved the maintenance problems with the dispensing equipment that some others see, etc. etc. Would be good to see a side by side comparison with your battery bus - I assume you are also running battery busses from your solar too as a comprehensive alternative energy trial. I do understand kWh per mile is not the only metric to measure a bus by, but I'm nerdy about the numbers.
what is the cost #s ?
'Promo SM'
Will the future of transit include as in Europe, access to clean ,safe restrooms along routes? Will anyone with a choice, commit to a one car, no car house hold, without real restrooms? Water bottle refill access?
Ryan excellent work, next stop Hollywood! (Pun Intended)
😊😊😊
I love the 2003s... my favourite bus was #0342, which is good to know it's preserved.
🎉
Could we get subtitles or closed captions on these please?
The agreement signed, was presented and passed in one meeting. You as the public have a legal right to ask for the packet the board is discussing.
1:31 read my name for mw2 ch eat s
this is so cute lol
Closed captions will be done in about a week usually, transcripts can be done instantly with a program app, but the do not provide that currently. If you like that, please communicate that.
The board packet containing items discussed is sometimes available before meeting on their site or by request under the freedom of information act.
27:52 Chelsea Financial Group lease for floor scrubbers, mini vans, tow truck, ADA vans servers, forklift, tractors two year agreement, with 36 month sub lease. It allows them to use downstate operating assistance. Agreement in board packet on website.
Jack Waller - Legal Council for CUMTD
17:08 CUMTD is a part of planning group and project team but not a part of the South of Locust Yards project enough to warrant DBE 4 percentage use? Disadvantaged Business Enterprise - DBE These are businesses certified with the state as having this status. I believe the 4% use is what is necessary or exceeds legal compliance.
14:00 Ficella asks on behalf of constituent about information for minority contractor access on CUMTD aspect of "The Yards/Illinois Expansion/Hockey arena" project.
11:00 Chairman asked RE: C carts budget fluctuations in packet. Scheduled private time to discuss.
Question: could the hydrogen fueling station become a community use facility, for other buses in the community?
"The MTD is the founding member of the Hydrogen Bus Fuel Cell Bus Council, a national group of 20 members at lunchtime." Karl Gnadt the founding president. The purpose of which is to advocate use.
As the rate of infection has impacted the district severely, what efforts have been made towards prevention education and childcare support?
Next regular meeting Wednesday , March 30th, 3:00pm at top floor of Illinois Terminal
49:00 Tax annexation of area near Legends at Carle at the fields.
48:18 Announcememt of second public hearing to annex Stone Creek.
43:42 Inuit contract. For external announcements. Questions how audible is this noise in residential areas?
41:00 Executive app purchase to meld data from training and HR and employee tracking. Paycom contract available 161 pages, available in board packet.
39:00 approval of grant app for solar panels.
33:50 The question was asked by Barnes about how many issues have they had. The answer was from staff at the back of room, inaudible. Should be a part of transcript.
31:00 Update to drug policy. Switch in status from "zero tolerance" employer to "last chance" employer.
Has the increased price of oil, natural gas, coal affected the cost of hydrogen fueling as the solar energy to provide compression for hydrogen is not complete? Is the solar source of power for hydrogen conpression even online?
What efforts has staff made toward identifying potential riders unapproached and what they would need to start riding? Shelters? Sidewalks? Platforms? Lighting? Guaranteed transfers? For example: employees of Dart, Plastipack - both 24/7 companies.
Post employment benefits? for executives?, disagreements with managment....and...management representation..parts of document of about 100 pages of audit.
All documents presented, complete not just what is shown, during the meeting are available to the public. They should be under board packet with meeting posted on their site.
It would be a public service to post pictures of any bus stops that seem unsafe and inaccessible along with any potential of frequency use. As it is important for the board, for staff to keep apprised of concerns in public view across all platforms.
The agreement presented and approved at the December 8th 2021 meeting between Core Hockey LLC and CUMTD is available to the public via the Feeedom of information act. (FOIA) and is in the board packet for that meeting on their site.
Thanks so much to everybody who makes riding the bus possible during the snowy times!
This made me cry. I know there are good people in the world, but this just was so wonderful. I have tried to help people, and I wish that each person, big or small, would do one good thing/help one person a day (it can be as simple as a kind word or compliment) - we call it a mitzvah, each day.
It would be interesting to know how much time CUMTD has invested in coordinating funding for multi use walks and lights in both directions from Plasti pack. West Springfield in that area is dangerous to walk, look at it. Plasti pak is a 24 hour/7 day large employer, but one must have a car or depend on one bus without a guaranteed transfer. The quality of life, safety, and job security of those employed there is affected by the focus of CUMTD grant applications and coordinating with the city. The focus of management has been primarily on "theYards" project of UPSCALE hotel and condo complex and parking lot for that project, for which they have redirected funds to build. How many at Plastic PAK would take the bus if this business were properly serviced from both directions? This does raise the question which matters more and why? Still can't get sound on any of my phones for just this video and still don't see CC captions as required.
27:14 Board member explains Federal law affects on Federal and State bids within the DBE (Disadvantaged Business Enterprise.) *If disadvantaged business need a framework to even apply for these bids, would it be against the law to provide an equitable starting point?
PUBLIC HEARING AND VOTE WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 8TH ON RAISING TAX LEVY, at the Illionis Terminal, 3:00 pm Combined mtg, no November mtg.
Jay Rank ( Operations Director) - Pilot project 16 buses, Inuit tech system to 1:10:09 monitor driver behavior issues in real time, and vehicle status in detail. Approved to put in motion.
